Maui sensation Kai Lenny is a 2X World Stand Up Paddle (SUP) World Champion who loves Windsurfing, Kitesurfing, as well as traditional surfing! On January 4th of 2012 a gigantic swell hit the reef of Jaws in Peahi on Maui in Hawaii where the World’s most dedicated big wave paddle surfers converged.
Surfer Magazine’s Zak Noyle flew over to Maui from Oahu to photograph the session that would forever go down in surfing history. Here Zak captures Lenny on one of the most amazing rides of the legendary big wave paddle in session! This single moment in time has been listed as the National Geographic’s Adventure Extreme Photo of the Week! Congratulations Zak and Kai!!!
