Brett Simpson powers through to Round 3 of the Volcom Fiji Pro

Brett Simpson powered pass Travis Logie in the dying minutes of his Round 2 heat.  With strong winds out of the Northerly direction is changed the face of Cloudbreak’s barreling lefts to tricky and choppy surf.  Simpo’s never give up attitude shown hip perform to full potential on an average wave to earn the score that he needed to progress to Round 3.

Despite some nice turns by team mate Taylor Knox he had to settle for a 33rd placing going down to a ramped up Josh Kerr.  Kerr happened to be in rhythm with the ocean while Knox found himself on the other side of the coin.

When competition resumes Round 3 will commence and we will see Mick Fanning and Simpo take to the water.
