Ryan Dolan heads to 2012 Olympic Trials

This coming Friday (April 20th, 2012) Ryan Dolan will be racing for the one and only USA Men’s Kayaking slot for a birth into the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London. Late last year, Ryan Dolan qualified the USA in the 200m K1 event at the 2011 Pan American Games. Now he has “defender” status and a chance to secure his slot on the 2012 USA Olympic Team.

Ryan was quoted earlier this week, “[I’m] looking forward to Trials and racing everyone. 200-meter races are all close, so it’s going to be some great racing with the Olympic spot on the line. OKC organized a great event in 2008, so I am sure they will do a good job with this Olympic trials.”

Ryan will be racing in Heat 1 at 2:30pm Friday afternoon. The semifinals will be at 3:00pm and the A-Final at 6:25pm. It is a “Win and your in” situation for Ryan. We wish him this best of luck this coming friday!
