Then following that win up with another victory in New York at the Unsound Pro Junior at Long Beach in Long Island! Despite the frigid cold conditions Keanu took down hometown favorite Balaram Stack and the event to earn himself a spot into the prestigious ASP World Tour’s Quiksilver Pro Trials!
“Anu-boi” as Keanu is known by his friends then placed 2nd in the Quiksilver Pro Trails against Quiksilver’s and the East Coast’s best surfers to earn a spot into the coveted 2011 Quiksilver Pro New York! Anu-boi replaced an injured Dane Reynolds to face an inform Adrian “Ace” Buchan. Despite going down to Ace Keanu learned a valuable experience while competing at the elite level and will keep that memory close to him.
