Vertra Tops at Island 2 Island Relay

Vertra’s Paddlessports team performed top notch at this past weekend 2011 Island to Island Relay event. A 34-mile relay course from Santa Barbara Island to Two Harbors, Catalina. In the mens Unlimited paddleboard the three man team of George Plesk, Jackson English and George Loren took top honors. English made the trip from Singapore to race in this years event. In the mens Stock class Vertra teammates Jack Bark and Matt Becker raced along with Shane Scoggins and won their division outright. “It was a great race,” commented Jack “super fun to get to paddle with Matt and Shane.” Becker who is better known for his success in SUP racing decided to compete on the prone boards this past weekend.
