Anthony Vela-Bridge Crossing

Vertra’s Anthony Vela spent the weekend at the 2011 Teva Mountain Games in Vail Colorado competing in the 2-day event of SUP downriver racing. Decked out in full body wetsuits, helmets, booties, and inflatable C4 Waterman SUP boards, competitors took to the frigid rapids of the Gore Creek. “It was a fun and humbling experience,” commented Vela, “between the cold water and various class 3 rapids it made for a challenging course.” Vela was competing as an ambassador for Boardworks SUP.
