“Tati” as she is known as by her friends and family, really made waves when she became the youngest Women’s Pipe Pro Champion at just 14 years old. Having grown up on the Garden Isle and sharing waves with Alana Blanchard and Bethany Hamilton it’s understandable why Tati pushed herself to charge the shallow reefs of Kauai with style and grace.

In 2013 alone, Tatiana was crowned the International Rip Curl Grom Search Champion at Bells Beach, Australia over a strong field of the world’s best up and coming junior surfers. She also added another Pipe trophy to her mantel with a win in the ASP NSSS Pro Junior at Pipeline in March.

As great of a surfer that Tati has achieved to be, she has always been a beautiful person inside and out. Her bright blue eyes will draw you in and her radiating smile and awesome personality will welcome you with nothing but Aloha.

First of all my mom and dad because they are such good parents and have taught me throughout my life. My Auntie because she’s always there for me and she teaches me to be strong on the inside and out. Bethany Hamilton, because her story is amazing to me and she never gives up. Last would be my coach Kahea because he teaches me to be healthy and wise and to train, with hard work comes best results.

I wear contacts everyday even when I’m surfing, I love watching cooking shows, I used to he super obsessed with soccer, I was born in Brazil, and I love reading!

A really cool fact about Brett’s father Bill Simpson is that he played in the NFL.  Bill was a defensive back for the Los Angeles Rams and the Buffalo Bills for eight sucessful seasons. Brett’s definitely a chip off the old block as his work ethic to strive to be the best proved true when he qualified for the elite ASP World Tour in 2010 with a big boost from his US Open victory.  Despite his cool, calm and collected demeanor, Simpo is a savvy competitor and is driven to win.  He is one of the most respected surfers on tour coming up through the Hobgood stable in his rookie years as he was able to learn the in’s and out’s of the tour from the best.
